Elizabeth Sporkin was appointed PEOPLE’s Executive Editor in October 2005, overseeing all of PEOPLE’s signature special issues including Sexiest Man Alive, Best & Worst Dressed, Most Beautiful People, Half Their Size and more. Also, she serves as editor for People Country and all of PEOPLE’s newsstand-only issues including High School Musical, Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.

In addition to her work with special issues, Sporkin handles all body-related editorial in the weekly issue.

Previously, Sporkin was assistant managing editor at PEOPLE, where she assisted in the development of People StyleWatch, which is now published 11 times per year. She arrived at PEOPLE in 1990 from USA Today, where she was the fashion editor.

Sporkin received her B.A. in art history from Vassar College. She currently resides in New Jersey, with her husband and two children.
